Zimmark Inc., provides on-site lube, hydraulic and cutting oil, Alkaline Wash Water recycling services and wastewater treatment services to the railway and manufacturing industries. Established in 1982, Zimmark has become the North American leader in on-site recycling of diesel locomotive engine oils. Zimmark's services include the manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance of its systems at the used oil generator's site, without capital investment by the generator.


Zimmark's network of field service operators generated through oil recycling systems across North America, facilitated the creation of an Environmental Management Information Service for multi-plant corporations. The program provides detailed, recorded, on-site waste monitoring and reporting and management of disposal streams.


Zimmark is unique because ownership of recycling and waste treatment systems is maintained by Zimmark after installation at the generating site. This permits the used oil generator to benefit from lubricant replacement and waste disposal savings without capital or technological risk. No contractual obligation is established and the generator only accepts the fluid that meets their specifications.


Trained service representatives are assigned to each of Zimmark's operating sites. These service representatives are dedicated to the site and follow Zimmark's Quality and Operating procedures. The service representatives are responsible for the operation of the Zimmark system, as well as feedstock, cleaned, and blend fluid monitoring.


Zimmark's offices are located in Burlington, Ontario and Dayton, Ohio with pilot system laboratory and manufacturing facilities in our Ontario office; but partnerships are established at each site with the fluid generator.

Zimmark Environmental Management Information Service.
Zimmark's Environmental Management Information Service (EMIS) provides multiple operating site corporations with a program to monitor and streamline waste streams to minimize disposal costs. To set up the program, liquid waste audits are conducted at each site to identify waste streams and disposal options. Storage tanks are categorized, identified, labelled and site employees are given orientation sessions to ensure that EMIS monitoring and disposal procedures coincide with plant operating practices. Upon completion of the EMIS setup, a monitoring schedule is established based on the waste volumes, tank size and disposal schedules. Zimmark's EMIS program provides cost reductions, waste management information, and a demonstrable record of due diligence.

On-site Oily Wastewater Treatment Systems.
On-site services to treat oily wastewaters for recycling or for sanitary sewer disposal. Zimmark designs, manufactures, operates and owns systems which are installed at the waste generator site. The batch or continuous process employs chemical treatment and filtration, stringently monitored by trained Zimmark operators. Customer satisfaction and product assurance is obtained through analytical testing performed by Zimmark and by independent laboratories. Most large volume oily waters are ideally suited for the process. Program benefits include an upstream waste audit, regular waste volume monitoring and reporting, disposal reduction by 80-90%, and reduction of total disposal costs by up to 50%.

On-site Oil Recycling Program.
On-site services to decontaminate used lubricating fluids for reuse safely and economically. Zimmark designs, manufactures, operates and owns systems which are installed at the waste generator site. The batch process employs distillation, chemical treatment, filtration and additive blending, all stringently monitored by trained Zimmark operators. The process is unique in the world because it maintains active additives present in the oil. Customer satisfaction and product assurance is obtained through batch quality certificates which are approved by the generator prior to batch transfer. The process is applicable for most segregated waste lubricating fluids. Program benefits include an upstream waste audit, regular waste volume monitoring and reporting, disposal reduction by 85-98%, and replacement lubricating savings of up to 60% without capital risk by the generator.
