Yellow Dragon Software has delivered its Messaging and Registry products to the market in a timely fashion. The base for the products was acquired as part of an IP acquisition Agreement from XML Global Technologies and represented a 4-year investment into SOA technology research and development. Both products have since been substantially enhanced. Yellow Dragon Registry Yellow Dragon Registry implements most of the features of the ISO/IEC 11179 specifications via both the ebXML Registry Services Specification and Registry Information Model, version 2.1. It functions as a web accessible XML metadata Registry. Key design principles include:
Platform independence through the use of the Java Platform and browser based access to registry content, for both content managers and content users. Expanded security features including advanced administrative functionality. Clean separation of the registry client from the registry server. Integrates with many different Repository systems including Oracle TM, MySQL and other RDBMS systems. Yellow Dragon Registry is an advanced content management system (CMS). The ISO/IEC 11179 functionality is implemented via the interfaces and bindings expressed in the ebXML specifications. The ebXML specifications supercede and enhance the capabilities of simpler specifications such as UDDI, making this registry ideal for use within any SOA.

Yellow Dragon Messaging is a best of breed implementation of the ebXML Messaging Services specification, version 2.0c and greater.
Yellow Dragon Messaging is being tested for mission critical usage within the US & Canadian Federal Governments, Automobile Manufacturers, Oil and Petroleum industry and many others. The messaging can handle large throughputs and large attachments.
Key design principles include:
Platform independence through the use of the Java Platform. EAN/UCC Certification to ensure interoperability. Painless integration into customer applications. No compromises on constituent technologies. For example, the YDS engineering team concluded that the commonly available and used MIME (Multipart Internet Message Extensions) software, JavaMail was not efficient/scalable enough for high throughput applications, so we wrote our own, called Yellow Mime. Strict adherence to standards (ebMS 2.0, SOAP 1.1, SOAP with Attachments, MIME, XML Digital Signatures, Unicode, etc.) Support for multiple languages in the 1.0 release, not later, to allow us to capitalize on the European and Asian markets from day one. Rapid adoption of SOAs (Service Oriented Architecture) by US, Canadian and foreign governments is being driven by a pronounced and urgent need to share information in a secure and controlled manner between departments, institutions and other governments' agencies, both dependably and dynamically. This need is more pronounced now than ever as agencies scramble to implement these SOA IT Infrastructures in support of initiatives such as the Office of Homeland Security in the US. Yellow Dragon Software fills the technology gap and has been proven to meet the demands of the governments of the USA, Canada, and others.

Web Services is a rapidly emerging paradigm in the integration software market today. The term Web Services often refers to any application that uses SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) to communicate with a remote server over the Internet. YDS deems Web Services to be part of a larger group of Service Oriented Architectures (SOAs) that use a Registry as a central component. See ANNEX A for background information on SOAs. EbXML is another standard way to implement a SOA. EbXML is often described as Web Services for Electronic Business however recent adoption by government has shown that ebXML is equally adaptable to other information sharing infrastructures. The rapid development of these standards has caught some larger software companies by surprise and they have not been able to respond to market demand for SOA specific software products. YDS has a clear advantage in the advanced state of its technology to fill this vast and emerging market void.
Regardless of the underlying implementations, those who wish to implement Service Oriented Architectures will require both Messaging (secure and reliable) and Registry components. Yellow Dragons mission is to become the top OEM and VAR Service Oriented Architecture tool provider by commoditizing its products. This will enable tier- one software vendors to offer products to meet their customers needs. YDS levers its XML and standards development expertise to derive recurring revenue streams. YDS technology is needed to fulfill a niche within the information management sector, including such initiatives as the Office of Homeland Securities information gathering and retrieval efforts as well as other shared information systems adaptations. With outbreaks of serious illnesses such as Sudden Arrest Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) as well as threats of chemical/germ warfare and other threats to national security, the need for information sharing is at an all time high. Budgets to implement such systems are in place and ensure a healthy revenue stream for YDS who has strategic products to fill this and other market niches. YDS is actively pursuing direct and re-seller sales in the emerging e-government space.
