The Northern Star Worker Coop.

The Northern Star Collection is a not for profit business that
has enabled women in poverty to learn sewing and designing
skills, in the production of Aboriginal design Star Blankets, and
the top quality ``Anamush`` wool parkas. The ``NSC`` has the
capacity to supply 2,500 Star Blankets and 1,800 Anamush parkas
annually. Currently, we are marketing our products locally,
with the occasional small order being sent to the U.S., Japan,
Australia and Germany. The NSC has enlisted the partnership help
of WIN Exports and the Manitoba Marketing Network.
We have a current inventory of beautiful blankets (Kanata's Star
our most popular) available for sale immediately.

The Pan Am Games Collection The Northern Star Collection proudly introduces its Pan Am Games Collection of Star Blankets! Each country will have its own blanket crafted individually in the colours of its flag. Each blanket will display a pattern unique to that country. The Pan Am Game Collection of Star Blankets will feature 43 breathtaking designs and colour combinations. This limited edition series will feature quality blankets made in double bed sizes (85 inches X 70 inches). Only the best poly/cotton materials are used to produce these vibrantly beautiful creations. Each Pan Am Game Collection Blanket will display a Label of Authenticity that will describe the artist's inspiration for producing that work. The pre-dominant language of each country is used! Blankets will be authenticated as being Aboriginal designed and Manitoba crafted. To honour Manitoba's hosting of The Pan Am Game XIII, the Northern Star Collection has designed a truly stunning creation, our ``Manitoba Crocus`` blanket. All of these limited edition Pan Am Games Blankets will become a treasured gift and memento; an heirloom of Canadiana artwork as produced by the Northern Star Collection.

Wool Parkas With Fur Trim
Wool Parkas with Fur Trim Virgin wool parkas adorned with detailed embroidery and appliques artworks. Hooded garments feature wolf trim. An overshell whish will be worn over the wool is made from poly/cotton fabric and features a hand cut and sewn Northern Star applique on back.
