Kinotex is an innovative multi-touch, pressure-sensing
technology that was originally developed for the Canadian Space
Agency to give robot arms a sense of touch. It is, in
effect, 'Digital Skin'.
Tactex makes this technology available for terrestrial
applications by developing and manufacturing Kinotex enabled
control and input surface components for Original Equipment
Manufacturers (OEMs) in the Music, Animation, Healthcare, and
Security industries.
The Tactex MTC Express was the Winner of Electronic Musician's
2001 Editors Choice Award for Most Innovative Product .
