TSI is a high technology group dedicated to non-destructive
testing systems and services, robotic systems, transducers and
sensors, biomedical instrumentation and contract research and
development. Markets include dentists, hospitals, clinics and
laboratories.
Manufacturing: Medical ultrasonic transducers and Doppler Bubble
monitor for detecting bloodstream emboli, Sonic Cane mobility
assist device for the visually impaired, ultrasonic bone density
monitor. Services: Contract research and development,
non-destructive examination, testing and software development.
Export Markets: U.S.A., Europe, Australia, Japan, China.
Several measuring instruments including thickness gauges, coating
thickness gauges and electromagnetic testing products. TSI`s
forte is the development of turnkey system solutions for the
fields of non-destructive examination and robotics. From
relatively straight forward automotive robotic welding systems to
the development of customized NDT systems for NASA materials
research: TSI has excelled in systems that combine
up-to-the-minute technological innovation with quality
engineering.
TSI's NDT systems are being used to inspect welds, for the remote
inspection of turbines, for research into aerospace composite
materials, to detect laminations and flaws in metallic alloy bars
and to inspect aluminum aircraft wings for cracks. Inspection
techniques include ultrasonics, eddy current, x-ray and
electromagnetic methods.
Production of instruments for level, flow, pressure servicing and
monitoring.
Through contract R & R and systems development work TSI has also
spun off a number of products (eg. the Doppler Bubble Monitor),
product lines (custom transducers) and relatively standardized
systems that they customize to the application (AUFIS/AURA,
Ultrasonic Ranger, Telemedicine and remote data monitoring).
CURRENT GEOGRAPHIC MARKETING ACTIVITY
TSI has marketed internaionally for nearly 15 years. In the past
these sales were in the U.S.; however since establishing a
company in the Czech Republic, they have increased their sales
in Europe. An expansion into South East Asia has also been
successful (China, Japan, Australia and Taiwan.)
GEOGRAPHIC MARKETING PRIORITIES/MARKETING STRATEGY
TSI is interested in establishing a larger distribution network
as the majority of their sales to date have been from direct
contact. They would also be interested in distributing products
of similar technology and/or entering into joint ventures for
product development and R & D. They believe their greates growth
markets are Asia and Eastern Europe. Interest from Pacific Rim
and Mid-Asian countries continues to grow.
