STELLA-JONES INC. manufactures wood utility poles, preserved by
pressure treating, for power transmission and power distribution
as well as for the communication utilities. Stella-Jones is the
largest Canadian manufacturer of pressure treated industrial wood
products. Its six plants are strategically located across
Canada. Raw material commodity quality standards are rigorously
enforced, as well as quality control of the treating processes,
and final inspection. Preservatives available in Stella-Jones
treated products are: creosote, pentachlorophenol, CCA and ACA.
