Simon Fraser University (SFU) has been rated Canada's best
comprehensive university four times since 1993 in the annual
rankings by Canada's national newsmagazine. The University has
two campuses: the main Burnaby campus (opened in 1965) and the
Harbour Centre campus, opened in downtown Vancouver in 1989.
SFU's newest addition, the Wosk Centre for Dialogue, is a
dedicated conference facility located across from Harbour Centre.

A young institution, SFU has grown rapidly, establishing and
building upon a tradition of innovation and responsiveness,
including a year-round trimester
system, wide-ranging co-operative education, pioneering
interdisciplinary and professional programs, and extensive
distance education courses. SFU has more than 23,000 students
studying in five faculties: Applied Sciences, Arts, Business
Administration, Education, and Science.

SFU's exceptional academic resources, the expertise of its
faculty and staff in project design and delivery, and its
strength at forming partnerships are the foundations for its
successful international activities.

The Office of International Cooperation helps identify, develop
and coordinate SFU's international activities. It facilitates
information exchange and brings the appropriate individuals and
groups within the University together with potential partners and
clients in Canada and abroad.

SFU's International and Exchange Student Services is responsible
for initiating and managing the University's numerous
international exchange programs and field schools, as well as for
encouraging and supporting a strong and visible international
student presence on campus. For international students interested
in studying in Canada, SFU offers an affordable, high quality
