Prepreg Of The 3rd Millenium
Simex Technologies has expanded the inherent characteristics of Vinyl Ester resins and developed a wide range of advanced Prepreg materials SIMPREX that are:
* easy to process
* can be stored for 12 months @ room temperature
* shipped via regular carrier
* Can be Provided with Oder Masquant (Bubble Gum Oder, Lemon, ... )
* Fast Curing Cycle (20 - 30 min @ 257o F In Press, 50-60 min in Vacuum)
* A good control of resin flow
* Better Chemical resistance
* A high Tg (Up to 190o C)
* As good or Better Mechanical properties (Flexion (ASTM D790): Up to 746 MPa with a Modulus of 23 GPa with E-Glass )
than the Epoxy Prepreg
* and economically competitive to the epoxy prepregs.
SIMPREX combine the excellent thermal and mechanical properties of epoxy prepregs with the EASE of PROCESSING and the FAST CURING property of unsaturated polyester Sheet Moulding Compounds (SMC), while adding inherent superior chemical resistance and significant cost savings to manufacturers as well as end-users.
