airstar is a high-capacity, carrier-class broadband fixed wireless access solution designed to solve the last-mile bottleneck. It is deployed quickly and economically handles a wide range of communication services for businesses and mobile backhaul. airstar is available in the 3.5, 10, 26 and 28 GHz frequency bands to serve small and medium enterprises. Maximizing revenues airstar consists of a base station, customer premises equipment (CPE) and airview, a suite of powerful network management software. airstars air interface, CellMAC, is the core of the intelligent ATM-based technology that optimizes spectrum use through packet-based dynamic bandwidth allocation. airstar delivers a vast range of applications and services, provide on-demand bandwidth, and allows for over-subscription of available spectrum. Technology CellMAC is airstars air interface protocol, an intelligent core of the technology. The first commercial radio interface protocol optimized for wireless ATM access, CellMAC carries out dynamic bandwidth allocation on a cell-by-cell basis with little overhead. In addition, CellMAC powers airstars outstanding performance by providing a statistical multiplexing gain in the range of five to ten. We are well beyond the stage where we sell only products. Today, we offer complete services, from product design, network planning and equipment installation to system maintenance. Because we know that not even the highest-quality telecom equipment can perform to its full potential unless it forms an integral part of an expert designed network. SR Telecom has the full capabilities for providing complete turnkey projects for both urban and rural including: network planning, design and specification; feasibility, frequency, RF path, traffic analysis, soil, grounding and existing tower loading studies; detailed engineering design, equipment specification and selection, system integration and reliability analysis; site preparation, installation, commissioning and test; project management, procurement, logistics and quality assurance; training, documentation and spare parts ; and, post delivery support and services.
