On November 25, 1997 recommeded for ISO 9001 Certfication.
From its beginning in 1972, Ryka adopted a global orientation,
which it has successfully executed to date. Today the company is
recognized as a world-class supplier of high performance molds
to the blow molding industry.
Providing product design, mold engineering, mold manufacturing
and mold maintenance services for all phases of blow molding.
Ryka serves packaging, automotive and industrial customers in
North America, Central and South America, Europe, Asia and
Australia-New Zealand. Exports account for roughly 95% of
revenues.
Steps have been taken to strengthen Ryka's presence and ability
to serve international markets. The company continues to
participate in major trade shows worldwide, will establish a
U.S. sales office, and has a sales representative and office in
the U.K. Ryka has expanded its manufacturing space in
Mississauga to more than 45,000 square feet, via purchase of an
adjacent second plant that will be joined with the Company's
headquarter-plant facility upon building plan approval.
The integration of CAD/CAM technologies and state-of-the-art
high speed manufacturing cells provides Ryka with the capability
to design and manufacture through modem data communications,
thereby minimizing cycle times in serving geographically-remote
customers. In addition, ISO 9001 certification is targeted for
the end of 1997. With its international positioning, reputation
for excellence, concurrent engineering initiatives and other
internal improvements of the kind noted, Ryka is poised for
further growth and continuing success.
