Plasticair Inc. was established in 1980 to meet the demand for high quality, engineered, corrosion resistant, air pollution control equipment. Since then, Plasticair has designed and built thousands of pieces of equipment servicing a wide variety of satisfied customers, world wide. The firm manufactures and specializes in air pollution control equipment, including Plasticair fan engineering, scrubbers, mist eliminators and fume hoods.


Plasticair Systems have been involved in various projects comprising complete air/water treatment systems, including air scrubbers, fans, recirculation, tanks and P.H. control for acid/alkaline processes. They have also been involved in duct and hood design and manufacture, metal treatment process work, and such specialty items as slurry mixers to chromatic systems for radiator manufacture. This firm also has patented fume hoods and fan designs in North America.

Mechanical Shaft Seal
The Plasticair mechanical shaft seal is designed to create a pressure drop across the area where the shaft of a fan passes through into the housing of the fan. The seal is constructed with teflon and fibreglass and is grease-filled every three months. It is also spring loaded. The seal is designed to stop all gas leakage at a maximum of 1.5' w.g. of positive static pressure on the fan housing.
