Piroche Plants Inc., located in Pitt Meadows, B.C., started as a
brokerage firm in 1987 expanding to the present 60 hectares.
Piroche Plants Inc., produces a variety of products including
liners, container stock, common and rare plants, growing both
container and field stock. Piroche Plants Inc., has a varied
customer base including wholesalers, garden centres, developers,
government agencies and landscape contractors. The company's
target markets include USA, Europe and Asia, where we export
large quantities of plant material each year.
In the future, Piroche Plants Inc., plans to increase production
and research facilities to meet increasing local and
international demand for large quantities of general nursery
stock, large caliper trees, and rare plant varieties. Our
current focus is towards export markets and new plant
introductions.
Jiangsu Pipa Horticultural Company Ltd., established in 1992 and
located in Nanjing, China, is a joint venture between the Nanjing
Botanical Garden and Piroche Plants Inc., in Canada. Pipa
focuses on the production of native plant varieties for export to
Japan, North America and Europe. The company offers a wide range
of products including seeds, bare root liner, seedlings, large
ornamental plants, especially rare and difficult to locate
varieties, and various other horticultural products and has been
approved by the Chinese government to import and export plants
and other products related to horticulture.
Piroche Plants Inc., is currently involved in the setup of a
nursery in Laos, which will also focus on the collection and
propagation of native plant varieties for export to Japan, North
America and Europe.
Piroche Plants Inc., is a member of the Canadian Nursery Trades
Association, the British Columbia Nursery Trades Association, the
Canadian Ornamental Plant Foundation and the International Plant
Propagator's Society.
