Mec Systems Inc.

MEC is a leader in the development of effective misting systems for cooling, humidifying, dust and odour control. MEC is dedicated to the development and advancement of misting technology and applications. MEC specializes in this field and manufactures a full line of misting equipment and accessories.

MEC manufactures and assembles all MISTer (TM) systems in-house in its production plant in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. These in-house production capabilities allow MEC to ensure the highest quality standards in all its MISTer (TM) systems. MEC ships to over 30 countries internationally with a growing network of over 100 dealers worldwide.

MEC is extensively involved with R&D in new applications and design. MEC provides solutions to air quality problems on a client by client basis and has over 15 years of success in misting technology. MEC's engineers and systems designers will work with you to design the most effective system to solve your problems and meet your budgeting needs.

MISTer (TM) technology is an effective cost efficient solution to many air quality issues. To inquire if MEC's technologies are effective for your application please send us a video of the problem source and affected areas as well as the approximate dimensions. A full system quotation will be sent to you.

MEC's technologies
are very efficient in controlling dust, odours, and other
airborne contaminants in industries such as waste water
treatment, rendering plants, loading depots, shingle mills,
recycling plants, pulp mills, grain elevators, smelting,
chemical and petroleum industries.

Custom Design Cooling Control Systems.
MEC Systems Inc. provides turnkey systems for environmental control in cooling. Highly efficient cooling can be achieved by maximum evaporation in any environment or climate. In the Middle East, MEC's systems are achieving 30-40C temperature reductions. This effective cooling process is achieved by MEC's technologies and its ability to create sub-micron water particulates, that flash evaporate immediately; creating cool air in large areas, which through a uniform distribution process, creates cool air in all areas at the same time.

Misting Technologies
MEC's misting technologies produce atomized water particulates measuring sub-micron to 10 micron size on average. These minute particulates are effective in capturing fly-ash, dust (PM-10), and other micro pollutants. With the proper design and control, layers of fog can be produced to act as a scrubber/filtration system for polluting emissions. The atomization process is done efficiently through MEC's specially designed nozzles with a pressure of 1000 psi delivered by MEC's MISTer modules. These high pressure MISTer pumping modules are designed and manufactured in Chilliwack, BC, Canada and are CSA approved. Through an intricate design of stainless steel nozzle lines and nozzle positioning, MEC's systems are very effective in solving air quality issues. Currently, after years of research, MEC's technologies are being applied to Tee Pee Burners and Olivine Burners to scrub emissions and allow for a clean burn. MEC's atomization process is also very efficient in distributing various agents and can be used to eject odour neutralizers into the affected area.

Custom Designed Smoke, Dust And Odour Control Systems.
MEC's technologies offer several unique, cost-effective solutions to common industrial, agricultural, commercial and residential air pollution problems. MEC Systems Inc. provides turnkey systems for environmental control of airborne dust and odour emissions. The systems breakdown and scrub gas and air molecules, with sub-micron sized water droplets. An odour neutralizing agent that is completely organic and biodegradable consisting of natural essential oils, is also metered into the system to control odorous gases. This process has proven to convert foul and potentially harmful gases into non odorous, non toxic molecules. It is effective in the breakdown and reduction of potentially toxic gases in industries such as: wastewater treatment, oil and gas, pulp and paper, rendering, fish processing and transfer stations. Some of the common compounds currently being controlled by MEC's technology are: hydrogen sulphide, ammonia, sulphur dioxide, methyl mercaptan, ethyl mercaptan, benzene, cortel mercaptan, dibutylamine, diisopropylamine, methylamine, ter-butyl mercaptan, triethylamine, thiocresol, and thiphenol. MEC Systems Inc. also provides turnkey systems for environmental control of smoke from smoke stacks and debris burning. MEC can utilize existing smoke stacks by incorporating their technologies to create a secondary scrubbing process to control any emissions that still may exist after scrubbing by the present system. Minimal down time is required for installation. Capital costs are far less than other possible remedies. MEC's technology acts as an external scrubber allowing for clean burning of debris. Fly ash is eliminated, reducing potential fire hazards. Turnkey systems for environmental control of fugitive dust from pulp mills, quarries, mines and stacks are also provided. The dust particles and other contaminants are filtered, then saturated by the sub-micron sized droplets of water, thereby making them heavier than air, which causes them to fall to the ground, allowing for easy retrieval for recycling and disposal. Cycle duration for this process is fully adjustable for optimal control and efficiency.
