Matrix Energy Inc.

Since 1985 Matrix Energy Inc. has offered innovative solutions
for remote power and air treatment applications utilizing solar,
wind, and hybrid power sources. Matrix is eastern Canada's largest suppliers of alternative energy and remote power systems.

Marketing

Photovoltaic division:
Matrix supplies, installs and provides training for photovoltaic,
wind and solar thermal systems for remote lighting,
telecommunications, rural electrification and water pumping
applications utilizing the latest Canadian and international
technology. Current products include Siemens, Solarex, and
Kyocera photovoltaic modules; Rutland Southwest; and Bergey
World wind turbines; SCI, Bobier and Connect Energy controllers;
Zomeworks battery enclosures; XANTREX (TRACE, Statpower)and
Stabylex inverters; Grundfos and CAP water pumps; Matrix
outdoor lighting systems.

Solar Thermal division:
This division accounts for over 50% of our sales annually
focussing on applications which incorporate Solarwall, a
remarkable Canadian solar air heating system for crop drying
in tropical climates and space heating and ventilation for
industrial and commercial use in cold climates such as Canada.

Considerable marketing effort is and will continue to be expended
within the eastern Canada and export markets. Our export market
to date accounts for approximately 20% of annual sales catering
to various photovoltaic applications on an RFP/Q basis, mainly
in the Caribbean. In 1998 Matrix embarked upon a proactive
targeted marketing program to increase export sales within its
photovoltaic division.

AFFILIATIONS
Matrix maintains its corporate membership with CanSIA, SESCI,
ISES, and the nergie Solaire Qubec. Well known in Eastern
Canada, Matrix utilizes and receives extensive press coverage
in trade journals, niche market magazines and government
publications.

Complete technical assistance, system design, project management. SOLARWALL is a Canadian product designed for a variety of uses in a variety of climate conditions. It is an energy efficient alternative to conventional exterior wall cladding and ventilation systems, resembling and costing as little as standard metal cladding. For ventilation air applications one square foot of Solarwall(TM) generates 300 Btu and will produce up to 8 CFM of air at up to 27oC over ambient temperatures during the heating season. Solarwall systems not only produce heat, but also recapture heat lost through the building walls and destratify hot ceiling air thus reducing heat losses via the roof. For crop drying applications one square foot of Solarwall(TM) generates 300 Btu and is designed to produce from 1 - 3 CFM/sqft of Solarwall area at up to 35oC over ambient temperatures making this system ideal for economically drying a very wide variety of produce.
