Balmoral Cedar Ltd. proudly produces the 'Balmoral' brand, a
prime quality white cedar shingle.
Balmoral was established in the mid 1970's, and it operates year
around with 14 sawyers, making it a reliable source of quality
shingles. The ongoing inspection practices make the Balmoral
shingle a consistent prime quality shingle. Every bundle bears
the CSA logo, authorized by the external inspectors (Maritime
Lumber Bureau) who carry quality control
inspections on regular basis at the Balmoral Cedar plant. Located
in Balmoral, New-Brunswick, Canada, the company ships its
products to the U.S. market and it also caters to the Maritime
Provinces lumber wholesalers.
BALMORAL shingles are available in all grades, from grade 'A' to
grade 'D', and the Builder Shims are also produced at the same
location.
The BALMORAL regular shingles undergo a secondary process
resulting in completely squared shingles with a smooth finish
bottom end, thence the R&R (Rebutted & Resquared) shingles.
100% of the cedar harvested by Balmoral Cedar Ltd comes from
forests operating under an Environmental Management System,
carrying the ISO 14001 certification. This certification
represents a commitment to responsible forest stewardship and the
continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System.
