Our family owned company, established in November 1988, whose branch is located in St-Ubalde, located near the cities of Qubec and Montral, offers products & services in its field that are very much appreciated and meet very well the needs of the sanitary services contractors for household garbage collection.
Disappointed with the results they were having with imported loaders, Gingras designed their own simple but ingenious devices. The talent, research and curiosity of our technicians has allowed us to become leaders in our field and even occasionally to adapt our products in order to customize them in order to meet the needs of our customers. Our research and our experiments in household garbage collection have enabled us to develop a hydraulic loader for rolling garbage containers which is compatible with the Canadian, American and European markets, and therefore with user requirements. Our loading system for refuse containers can be adapted for several kinds of garbage trucks such as: side loading, back loading, front loading, and can also be adapted for certain kinds of recycling trucks. International producers of rolling containers approve our system.
Our products are in use everywhere in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Europe (France, England), Asia (China, Philippines), Africa (Saudi Arabia). Inspired during trips outside our country to Waste Expo Chicago, Washington, Las Vegas, Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Munich, Lyon, Paris and Cologne, the Gingras team has developed and invented all kinds of levers for containers.
The Gingras family has put forward other solutions, which fall outside the traditional ways of managing and collecting all kinds of wastes. We carry a full range of loaders for trucks, but also a range of industrial loaders for compactors, for shredders (Shred Tech Limited), for compost containers (Wright Environmental Management Inc.) etc. These feeders range in capacity from 500 lbs to more than 3000 lbs. We also developed a 100% watertight trash compactor, which is currently in use in Europe, but not in Canada or the United States.

The Bras De Fer Gingras Inc. Ba-100 Automatic Loader.
The side-loading BDF BA-100 is a very simple, entirely qubcois, manufacturing concept.
The loader arm speeds up the loading process by allowing the operator to remain seated in the truck. One can use the loader on a household garbage collection route, a recyclable waste collection route and even a green waste collection route. The truck, which is equipped with a DDF loader arm, offers great flexibility to its owner. It can be used automatically or manually. Actually, this arm offers automatic side-loading and also manual side-loading without any transformation (no gate to open, no gate to close), whether you are collecting a container or a green bag of waste or recyclable products, the loader allows you to collect all of them, this arm is astonishingly versatile.
The loader arm slides on Teflon and the grip can be adapted to all the kinds of European and North American containers. The grip is covered with natural rubber for an astonishing softness and great holding power.
The tipping cylinder and stretching cylinder have cushioned stops for smoother action and for avoiding abrupt jolts, these cushions are used mainly to reduce wear and maintenance. The oil system is a one-piece proportional Valvoid (proportional movement), equipped with a Valvoid pneumatic and electric joystick for simple operation. The handling is done with the joystick. No training is needed to operate this automatic loader and all operators can master it in a few hours. The installation of a camera makes it possible for the operator to remain seated on the left side or to stand on the right side and view the movement of the arm, the joystick is transportable and the screen monitor can be adjusted for right-hand or left-hand use.
The Gingras automatic feeder arm has a lateral range of zero to 72 inches. At the end of its travel, the arm can raise 181.44 kg (400 lbs) and can raise 181.44 kg (400 lbs) at its minimal range. The speed of operation or complete cycle between the moment when the grip seizes the container and puts it in place takes approximately 10 seconds.
The installation of the arm on a truck requires neither a special frame nor any modification, it is assembled on a normal frame and it is also the only arm which does not harm the roof of the truck, given that its discharge height is lower than that of a traditional loader.
This loader arm behaves marvelously in urban environments, it is very powerful in narrow spaces like residential streets and small downtown lanes (the arm never protrudes beyond the width of the truck when in the ready position).
