Case Management / Return To Work Coordination

Job Demand Analysis And Bfor's Analysis of a position to determine the physical, environmental and psychosocial demands of the job. Used as a tool to create Bona Fide Occupational Requirements (BFOR's)for criteria for preplacement testing and as a baseline for job descriptions and return to work accommodation.

Executive Health Programs A service to client company senior employees, which thoroughly monitors the health, fitness and lifestyle of the employee with a goal of recognizing health issues at an early stage. Usually offered as a benefit within an organization, a confidential service which usually include fitness testing, computerized analysis of stress, coronary, nutrition, fitness and other lifestyle risk factors, thorough bloodwork and urinalysis, audiogram, chest xray, lung function testing, assessment and debriefing of results by an Occupational Health Physician.

Immunization Clinics Coordination of immunization clinics in the work place for Influenza, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A/B or otherwise as requested by the employer.

Ergonomic Assessment Assessment of the design of a worksite or specific workstation and the employees relation to these to determine ergonomic risk factors which may cause fatigue, repetitive strain injury etc., and provide recommendation for positive changes.

Needs Assessment Assessment of an organization's Occupational Health needs, including review of organizational resources, WCB stats, current policy/procedure, union contracts etc. and recommendations for implementation of programs and processes to complete a comprehensive, efficient Occupational Health Program.

Return To Work And Functional Assessments Provision of employee assessment to determine ability to return to the workplace and any need for accommodation. Service is provided by an Occupational Health Physician. Functional testing as necessary to match the employee's capability to the demands of the job is directed by the Occupational Physician and done by a Kinesiologist.

Health Surveillance The process of identifying, monitoring and preventing employee exposure to biological and environmental hazards within the workplace. The workplace can be assessed to determine hazards in the workplace and confirm need for WCB compliance for monitoring. Assessments include physical and/or laboratory testing as applicable by established protocol, and should be carried out on baseline (hire), periodically as required, on exit (termination), as further required by regulation, at the request of the employee, on exposure, or monitoring Occupational Health Physician.

Preplacement Assessment Assessment of an employee candidate to determine if they are able to safely meet the demands of a particular position. Testing criteria is based on assessment of the position and Bona Fide Occupational Requirements to ensure testing meeting with Human Rights Legislation for hiring.

Health Education Workshops and other forms of presentation regarding a broad range of Occupational Health issues including back fitness, stress in the workplace etc.
