Mineral Fibers

Fibrox Mineral Fiber
By melting High Purity Mineral Ores in an electric arc furnace, FIBROX has developed synthetic, clean mineral fibers that meet and exceed the demands of todays sophisticated applications. Two versions of this world-class fiber are available: FIBROX 300 and FIBROX030 with fiber indexes of 65% and 97% respectively. Both products are available in bales and bags.

Fibrox Milled Fiber
FIBROX develops and supplies an engineered mineral fiber as a base ingredient for composite materials. Produced from high purity mineral ores in an electric arc furnace, the precisely designed fiber is used as a reinforcing material in a variety of composite end-uses including friction materials; quality plastics; paints; caulks and sealants. Two versions of this world class engineered fiber are available: FIBROX 300 MST and FIBROX 030 MST with fiber indexes of 65% and 97% respectively. Additionally, an array of application specific surface treatments can be integrated into the process.

Fibrox Paper
High quality FIBROX mineral fiber is converted via a unique process to a high strength paper sheet. Two versions are available: our standard FIBROX 300 PAPER and our ultra clean (< 3% shot) FIBROX 030 PAPER. They are produced in roll form in various thicknesses.

Fibrox Tapi Insulation Blanket
Fibrox has developed a unique insulating blanket made from mineral fibers and needled to produce excellent handling strength. This product, named TAPI TM Mineral Fiber Needled Blanket, can be used at temperatures up to 1500OF (815OC), providing industrial consumers with an alternative to higher-priced products such as ceramic fiber blanket and needled glass mat.
