Energy Advantage Inc.

Energy Advantage Inc. is a total energy management company that provides an impartial out-source service for its clients. We are in the business of providing integrated, one-stop energy management services to our clients that are customized to meet their needs. As part of the company's total approach to Energy Management, our Climate Change Department offers a complete array of emissions services designed to assist our clients through the coming changes in environmental policies associated with the Kyoto Protocol, including the Clean Development Mechanism. These changes will carry many economic and regulatory challenges for businesses in all sectors as electricity, natural gas, and other sources of energy represent the majority of a company's Greenhouse Gas emissions. The services Energy Advantage provides to help businesses manage their emissions include:

Emissions Baseline Report:

This report is the first step in an emissions management strategy. Energy Advantage will work with the client to document historical GHG emissions going back as far as 1990 and including all six categories of greenhouse gases. The report is prepared in accordance with government guidelines to ensure its acceptance when filed with the National Registry and provides a comprehensive account of all emissions sources while identifying trends in the emissions profile.

Emissions Balance Sheet:

The Emissions Balance Sheet is a proprietary modeling system for forecasting a company's potential future liability as a result of excess emissions. Using the data in the emissions baseline Energy Advantage calculates the emissions intensity of the business either by production volume or square footage. This is then linked to the corporate business plan to estimate the corporate emissions profile in 2010 which is the midpoint in the first compliance period. The modeling includes a business as usual basis and the impact of various energy efficiency or emission reduction scenarios. The purpose of the Emissions Balance Sheet is to quantify the corporation's liability and form the basis for a strategic analysis of options for managing the issue. As the future value of credits becomes established through trading the Emissions Balance Sheet will be expressed in financial terms.

Emissions Management Strategy:

The Emissions Management Strategy defines strategic direction for the corporation's future GHG management efforts. To that end, Energy Advantage will develop a corporate emissions strategy that identifies preferred solutions from amongst the myriad of tools and options available to manage emissions.
Typically, emissions management strategies include:
 Recommendations for GHG emission credit management relative to the available market mechanisms e.g. brokered deal, commodities exchange, bilateral trade, quick sell, hold, public announcement, private transaction etc.
 Identification of Corporate emission reduction opportunities classified by banner/worst stores, with recommendations for optimizing emissions reductions and cost reductions.
 Cost/benefit evaluation of green power purchasing options relative to emission reductions in selected markets.
 Analysis of specific Kyoto Treaty impacts.
 Identification of GHG reduction funding programs.
 Identification and analysis of pending provincial and federal legislation and its likely impact.
 Analysis of the benefits of registry submission to VCR.

The Emissions Management Strategy becomes a highly valuable internal reference guide that will be used to develop corporate policies driving profitable and sustainable emissions reductions.

Annual Emissions Report

Ongoing tracking of emissions is accomplished through the Annual Emissions Report. Yearly changes in emissions, effects of projects and any other factors that affect emissions are updated in the Annual Emissions Report. The results are filed with the National Registry and can be used to verify

Energy Advantage Inc. is uniquely qualified to service major end-users of electricity and natural gas across a variety of sectors because of our extensive knowledge of key developments in the area of climate change on a national and international basis.
