Sphag Sorb (tm) Environmental Organic Absorbent.
Sphag Sorb is an environmentally safe industrial absorbent peat moss. Only the finest grade Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss is harvested, triple screened and dehydrated to reduce the moisture content to a level of approximately 10%. As an absorbent, Sphag Sorb acts like a wick to absorb on contact: hydrocarbons, PCB's, heavy metals, pesticides and other organics. Sphag Sorb totally encapsulates the contaminant without leaching, to meet or exceed the EPA requirements for safe and proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes in landfills, where regulations permit. Sphag Sorb can also be incinerated. Sphag Sorb works both on land and water effectively and economically. Sphag Sorb is available in loose fill bags, pads, socks, and various size spill response kits and totes. It is a must for all Emergency Response and spill clean up groups, or, as an 'on-site' absorbent for industrial commercial use.
