The Company's breakthrough biochips feature components of two powerful state-of-the-art technologies, gene chips and lab-on-a-chip microfluidics, combined into a more powerful integrated technology. Epocal's biochips enable highly integrated analytical systems meeting the needs of the pharmaceutical industry for its future generations of bio-tools, as well as enabling simple to use but highly integrated sample-to-answer devices for clinical diagnostics.

The Company has assembled a team of engineers and scientists working in a semiconductor chip microfabrication facility to develop new nanofabrication materials and biochip processes. These materials and processes combine advanced semiconductor fabrication technology with novel biochemical fabrication methods. Researchers at our corporate laboratories are engaged in the development of analytical systems and assays based on our biochips.
