Dendron Resource Surveys Inc. is a technical support group
specializing in the collection, manipulation and analysis of
data for forest resource management and appraisal. For the
task of data collection, Dendron concentrates on the design
and implementation of resource surveys, with the objective of
matching client requirements with the most efficient and
effective methodologies. The company has considerable
expertise in the application of aerial photography and a
variety of airborne and spaceborne remote sensing
technologies. For the task of data manipulation and analysis,
the company specializes in the use of computer tools ranging
from customized application software, to geographic
information systems (GIS), to a variety of computer-based
tools.
Dendron has applied its expertise to many diverse projects
across Canada and abroad since its inception in 1978. These
include large forest resource inventories, forest and
integrated resource management plans, GIS mapping and
analysis, and impact assessments for private and public
clients. Research work has been conducted in fields of
forestry, remote sensing and GIS applications. Services are
provided in English, French, Spanish and German.
