Daymond Aluminum, a Division of Daymonex Limited, operates out
of a manufacturing plant of 180,000 square feet in Chatham,
Ontario. Daymond is a QS9000 certified supplier. The investment
in employee training and consistent procedures demonstrates
the company's commitment to the exacting demands of its customer
base.
Daymond Aluminum was founded by the Daymond family, and has been
located in Chatham since 1939. The current plant was constructed
in 1977, and a sales office is operated in the metro-Toronto area
(Woodbridge). As of May 1996, Daymond is a wholly-owned
subsidiary of Profile Extrusion Company, which operates extrusion
and casting facilities, headquartered in New Albany, Indiana.
Daymond has a total employment of just under 200 people. The
company's business is focused on the design and production of
high quality fabricated and finished aluminum extruded products.
With complete in-house extrusion, fabrication, finishing, and
anodizing capabilities, the company specializes in value-added
products, and the manufacture of sub-assemblies. The company's
diverse customer base has enabled it to grow into the largest
independent custom extruder in Canada whose products include
profiles and finished parts for the automotive, construction,
and consumer goods markets throughout North America.
