CirclePress is a small company which produces Internet-based educational content using Java. It uses interactive grafics/animations and a Web-savvy cross-disciplinary approach to make tough material fun and easy to learn. By using the best Java tools, zippy grafics and plain language to describe thoughtful content, CirclePress aims to make dependable, effective and entertaining educational software.
CirclePress also produces the CircleBook, an interactive educational program written in Java on the history, maths and scientific uses of the circle (including conics and waves). This cyberBook covers the circle's fundamental role in maths, the physical sciences (and the humanities). The circle is a cross-disciplinary concept that encompasses and models a great body of knowledge from the cosmos around us to the helical waves of the quantum world ! While sometimes being challenging mathematically, it is hoped its integration of diverse concepts is exciting and entertaining.
