Cameleon Informatique & Robotique Inc. operates in the field of
information technology and, more specifically, micro-robotics.
The company specializes in designing and marketing software and
electronic equipment aimed mainly at teaching applications at the
grade school and high school levels.

With its various products, Cameleon presently covers three market
segments. They are in fact, three types of applications catering
to different needs:

1 - Technology education:

Technology education demonstrates automation concepts through
automated control application examples. Technology education
classes simulate real situations taken from every day life. Some
examples are: traffic light, escalator, mini-factory control,
temperature control, etc..

2- Robotics as a teaching tool:

Robotics makes it possible to teach concepts otherwise too
abstract to demonstrate. Applications presented in various
teaching guides aim at introducing math notions (examples:
geometry, algebra, etc...), as well as physics and electricity
notions. Such an approach is especially successful among
potential dropout clienteles.

3- Computer education:

High-school level computer classes are also perfectly suited for
the use of robotic interfaces and software. They provide a means
for demonstrating programming and/or logic exercises.

The company, founded nearly 10 years ago, is well established in
its field. Cameleon products can be found throughout the entire
provincial school system. Faced withthe important rise of
computer-related teaching tools across all Canadian provinces, in
Western countries in general, and in some Eastern countries,
Cameleon has recently started to expand its coverage of the North
American and European markets.
