Bristol Machine Works Limited is located in Sudbury, Ontario,
Canada. Sudbury is a major Canadian mining community with a
large Forestry Industry in the area.
The company operates from a (new in 1990) 31,000 sq.ft. (2,900
sq. meter) plant and has 62 employees. The facility is
designated to operate with approximately 70 employees.
The shop area is served by 6 overhead cranes ranging from 3 ton
to 20 ton capacity with a 21' (7 meter) hook to floor height.
The plant functions as a medium to large machine shop with
equipment ranging from conventional turning lathes to large
vertical turning and milling equipment. This range of equipment
includes fully computerized turning and milling capabilities.
The office functions of Bristol are fully computerized and are
geared to service production orders and inventory controls as
well as specialized projects.
Bristol is an owner operated shop which, over the past 30 years,
has established itself as a quality manufacturer and rebuilder
serving the following industries:\

The scope of the work performed for these industries is:
a) Manufacture and modify major components for mineral and wood
processing equipment ie. Reactors, Particle Board Presses, and
product Agitators.
b) Rework and manufacture of molds and dies for foundries as well
as rubber product and finished wood product producers.
c) Manufacture of medium and high consumption components for
industrial equipment and machinery manufacturers ie: Rail Wheels,
hard surface Pump Sleeves, Valve Components, Hydraulic Cylinders,
Brake Assemblies.
d) Reconditioning of large Rock and Quarry Crushers and Component
manufacture for same.
e) Manufacture cooling blocks for furnaces.
Bristol is registered with the Quality Management Institute to
ISO 9002-1994.
