ASHFORD LAMPS LTD is a Canadian manufacturer of high quality
table lamps. Don and Carol Ashford have marketed their lamps to
the upper end furniture and interior design trade, across Canada,
for nineteen years. In addition they sell their lamps to the
Canadian government for placement in embassies and chanceries
around the world. A few years ago they contracted with Drexel
Heritage Furnishings Inc. of the U.S. to sell a group of their
lamps as part of that company's accessory program.
With an emphasis on traditional styling, their product line is
composed of:

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Essentially, because each lamp is made to order, this is a custom
lamp line with many options. Although most lamps are ordered 'as
shown,' for tag orders the customer is given many choices, with
no upcharges, except as noted below under pricing.
WIRING:
Most of the full size lamps have a trilight socket with the
exception of CB58, CB69, CB72, CB81, CB84, CB85, CB87, CB90 and
227P. These have a HiLo socket to allow for a smaller harp. All
the candlestick lamps have a HiLo socket as well. The miniature
lamps have a chandelier socket with an inline switch. The lamps
are CSA NRTL/C approved, certified under portable luminaries
class 3451 81 to both Canadian & American Standards.
SHADES:
Most of the lamps are hardbacked styrene for the lined shades as
described in the catalogue. Lamps may be ordered with any of the
stock fabrics as noted in the price list. Any lamp may be ordered
with a lined shade for a small upcharge. The shades are trimmed
with self trim or specialty trim as on the catalogue sheet (no
upcharge). The spiders are all brass plated with a half inch
drop. The cages for the lined shades are completely brass plated.
The miniature shades are 'clip on'. The lacquered shades are
matte finish with either a gold foil or gold tortoise liner
unless specifically ordered with a white interior.
FINIALS:
All the finials are solid brass finished to match the brass
components. These are interchangeable if desired. Unless ordered
otherwise, the finial will be shipped as shown in catalogue.

Solid Brass Table Lamps

Solid Wood Table Lamps
Included in the line are maple, oak, ash, walnut and cherry. The wood may be finished in natural, pine colored, washed, etc. The finely detailed appliqus are of brass. Models CB94, CB95, CB96 have a black shade and base.

Ceramic Table Lamps
All of the ceramic lamps may be ordered in any of the stock glazes which include gloss, matte, crackle, granite and painted textures. Most models have a choice of a apun, solid brass base, cast, solid brass base or solid wood turning. The wood bases are finished in black matte or cherry..

Ceramic Table Lamps With Hand Formed Ceramic Flowers
These are Ashford's specialty. The flowers are rose, wildrose, iris, magnolia, gardenia, calla, trillium and freesia. With the exception of the iris and magnolia, any of the flowers can be applied to any ceramic lamp style. Each petal and flower is individually made by ceramic artist, Carol Ashford. The flowers may be customed colored (not in strong colors) to match fabrics, etc with no upcharge. The same glaze and base options are available as with the plain ceramic lamps.

Ceramic And Brass Candlestick Lamps
Available with the same brass, glaze and wood options as the table lamps. All the candlestick lamps may be adjusted in height.
